Why I’m going analog in 2026 as an Artist

Pausing to Reflect on My Direction for the New Year

While I’m not one for goals and resolutions at the beginning of a new year, I do find it an important time to pause and reflect on the general direction I would like to head. More “where would I like to end up?” rather than “show me a step by step map of how to get there”. In 2026 I don’t think I’m the only one looking for ways to hit “pause” and step away from the noise of a life spent “online”. I’ve been giving a lot of thought to how I want to spend my days - not how others think I should.

Joie de Vivre - My dear Nana basking in the peace and tranquility of the Pine Barrens in rural southern NJ. My biggest supporter in my artistic journey, Nana loved life and was a talented artist in her own right.

2026 is my year of “Back to Analog”- a return to long days in the studio uninterrupted by the distraction of email, no more worrying about creating “content” for social media. I have come to the realization that my work is not created to be viral, my work invites pause … not scrolling. My work is quiet in a world of noise and deserves the time and space to be thoughtfully considered. So, while you will not find me posting regularly on social media, I will continue to use my frequently updated WEBSITE as an online gallery and showcase for new work and announcements.

My destination this year is Peace of Mind and I look forward to continuing to share my journey here with you, delivering Peace and Presence to your inbox.

Wishing you and your loved ones Serenity and Health. x erin

End of day on the Choptank River. I’m grateful to have a husband who shares my love of a leisurely Sunday drive through the countryside. Our latest ramble led us down a dead end road to this lovely vista on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
